Lightborn Enterprises is for the broken, yet undefeated; scarred, yet beautiful; wounded, yet healing. Lightborn is touching the world through Christ, one heart at a time.
We realize we are all broken, or have been. We also know that God mends and heals. Stained glass is produced from shards. God has a plan for us that is good and we hope you are moved deeper into a loving relationship with Jesus through our page.
Lightborn exists to uplift, educate, motivate, inspire and engage people to better their personal lives, as well as to effect positive changes in expansive concentric circles involving the individual; family; community, town or city; county; state; nation and world.
To achieve these goals, Lightborn will rely on guidance from God, Biblical principles and disciplines, and collaborative and personal dedication of its members.

THE INSPIRATION
Lightborn
Lightborn is the pen and artist name used by Daniel Lightbourn Schmucker, a southwestern artist and writer, living in Arizona. Lighborn works in a variety of clays, primarily polymers, and adding materials found in nature to his artwork. It is his hope that his love of the Creator and creation shines through his pieces; that as a veteran- his love of country is evident, and as a westerner, his love of the region emerges.
Lightborn has some keen insights into the human psyche, having worked in the substance abuse and mental health fields for over thirty years. Some of the discernment and vision flows through his work in clays and his artful use of words.
Daniel co-founded the organization, Lightborn Enterprises, with his son, David on Christmas Eve nearly a decade ago.

Art tells a story. It is Lightborn’s hope that this art, molded by life experiences and timeless truths, helps you in the midst of your own personal journey - and reminds you that your story is still being written.
Facial expressions, hands, and attire are notably expressive to display emotions and experiences many, if not all, of us can relate to. Often accompanying these characteristics is the subtle use of mixed media such as authentic feathers or colorful lava rocks.
The gallery displays many different series of sculptures, along with stand-alone pieces. Each series tells a story, as you will learn by clicking on a series and reading the words from the artist, himself! Within each series lie individual sculptures which all tell their own unique story - of triumph, deep sorrow, excruciating pain, recovery, overwhelming joy, elation, God-given hope and faith.

A gift that supplies light which burns eternal, one that no darkness can ever hope to extinguish. A gift of love, grace, and mercy so abundant, nothing you could do or have done to you would ever overcome it.

Then, light your world. After receiving the Light, Jesus, we are called to light our world. Light and darkness cannot reside in the same place - even the smallest flame causes the darkness around it to flee. We hope these products remind you of your calling to light your world as you encounter others, create engaging conversations, and encourage hope in a darkening world.

The song Catch the Light, was written and performed by the very talented Mikalene Ipson, for Lightborn Enterprises. Tor Lowry is a multi-talented and gifted man, and some of his amazing artisanship is displayed as the film-maker of the clip. We recognize Jesus as the True Light, and when we receive Him as LORD and Savior, we are transformed into the Kingdom of Light. We are summoned by the King of Kings to share that Light, and as adopted sons and daughters we are enlisted to be ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven. We bring that message to a darkening world.
Divorce, suicidality, rejection and the fear of rejection, depression, addiction to drugs and alcohol, poor self-image… these are all issues that millions of people are facing, will battle or have already struggled with, and you will see them touched upon in this video. Redemption is the result of the soul who accepts the Christ’s offer of forgiveness, adoption and restoration, by accepting His vicarious sacrifice for our sins, and that too will be evidenced.
